ELLA LOUISE FLOWERS

Ella Louise Flowers went home to meet her Lord on her 79th birthday, July 17, 2017.

She was the pastor and founder of Tabernacle of Prayer.  She was the former president of the board of directors and manager of W08BV TV station.  Ella has a song called "When the Lights Go Dim Downtown" in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Maynard; daughters, Patricia Sloan and Pamela Maynard; parents, Garland and Sarah L. Flowers; brothers, William Ralph, Samuel, and Garland; sisters, Earl Cobb and Betty Marie; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Maynard.

Survived by husband, Harry Sowers; daughters, Loretta Lay and Angela (Tracey) Simms; sons, Buddy R. and Dewey G. Maynard; sisters, Elizabeth Osborne and Phyllis Burchett; grandchildren, Kevin, John, Brian, Yvonne, and Samantha; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.

There will be no viewing.  The family will be hosting a birthday party / celebration of life at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 22 at 1663 Woodhurst Court.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either of her daughters.
