GARY CHAVIS Obituary

GARY L. CHAVIS, age 70, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Veteran of the U. S. Marines. He loved football and was a diehard Browns fan. He also loved basketball and golf, and enjoyed jazz, and traveling around the globe, feeling most at home in New York City. He was a consultant in Men's Fashion and known for his designer style and impeccable wardrobe.

Preceded in death by his mother Anita "Pearl" Chavis, father Phillip Chavis, Sr., brother Phillip Chavis, Jr., and brother Donald Chavis. Gary is survived by his spouse of 48 years, Debi Coldiron; his only daughter, Chloe Chavis; one sister, Karen Chavis-Hale; niece, Anitra Hale-King (Aaron King); nephew, Lewis Hale III; and numerous other nieces and nephews; relatives and life-long friends: Ellis, Garry, Robert and Cookie, Daniel, Gene, Kimberly and Terron, Monique/Teliyah, etc.
