Cathy Hammond Obituary

Mildred “Cathy” Hammond, age 74 of Columbus, passed away peacefully just after midnight on March 21, 2018 surrounded by her family, and listening to Elvis. As the matriarch of the family, she took a piece of each of our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Lois MacDonald, her loving husband, John Hammond, and “her man,” Elvis Presley.

She is survived by children, Jonathan (Maria) Hammond, Tonya (Joe) Hammond, and Jason (Robin) Hammond; grandchildren, Ashley (Travis) Stone, Aaron (Kirsten) Cowans, Ravin (Brandon) Hammond, Katia Hammond, Trever Pyatt, and Mason Hammond, great-grandson, Caiden Cowans; brothers, Lawrence and John MacDonald; and other family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 26 at Cook & Son-Pallay Funeral Home, 1631 Parsons Avenue, where the family will receive visitors beginning at 6:00 P.M.
