Effie M. (Ossio) Cordell

A Simple Life

Born in Mingo Junction, Ohio on July 17, 1923, Effie Cordell danced her way to Columbus where she spent her life dedicated to her family of 3 daughters, and her career in hairdressing.  But even though she worked hard, she always enjoyed her spare time driving to garage sales in her little red VW or ballroom dancing.  She loved to dance and often said she was in a World All Her Own when she was on the dance floor.  Her mother, Mary Ossio, said, "Effie came out dancing.” 

She lived a good, long life of 94 years.  When she was asked to what she attributed her longevity she replied, "I live a Simple Life." 

On October 6, 2017 God called Effie home.  I'm sure her dance card is full with Fred Astaire on the top of the list. 

She leaves behind 3 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  

We will miss you Mom.
