Willie Burchett, age 93, passed away January 16, 2018.
Retired from Pollock Printing Company and Kroger Bakery.
WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army, where he received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Japan), and two Overseas Bars.
He attended Grove City First Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by mother Ida Clark Burchett, father Ermine Burchett, brothers Johnny R. and Robert Lee Burchett, sister Garnet Ward, half-brother Oliver Music, and wife Lula Mae Woods.
Survived by cousins, Dorothy Morris and Regina Monroe; sister-in-law, Ida (Burchett) Burchell and James Burchell; and his extended family on his bucket list team. His village includes Tracy Morgan, Pam Landis, Shelly Killilea, Theresa Breech, Crystal Davis, John and Mary Mashburn, John Zimmerman, Aaron Morgan, Josh Morgan, and Lee Smith.
Visitation 1-3 p.m. Saturday, January 20 at COOK & SON-PALLAY FUNERAL HOME, 1631 Parsons Ave., where service will follow at 3 p.m. Rev. David Berna officiating. Interment Burchett Family Cemetery.
