Charles R. Burgett

Charles R. Burgett, age 56, was called home Saturday, September 17, 2022 at his home.

He loved the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, and spending time working on his race car.  And he loved being with his family.

Preceded in death by parents Truman and Ida Burgett, sister Nelly Fay King, and aunt Effie Wheeler.

Survived by daughter, Melissa Gray; son, Nathan Burgett; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Betty Stump, Patty Burgett, and Shirley Yates Wolford; brothers, Dana Evans and Willy Yates; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Katherine Craven and Loretta Scarberry.

Visitation 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Cook & Son-Pallay Funeral Home, 1631 Parsons Ave., where the evening will conclude with a Sharing of Memories.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to assist with his final arrangements.
