Charles J. "C.J." Stokes, age 74, passed away August 17, 2021 at Grant Medical Center.

He was born in Columbus on January 30, 1947 to Charles S. and Gloria (Gest) Stokes. C.J. was a veteran of, and combat photographer for, the U. S. Navy, and was a member of the American Legion and Amvets.

Preceded in death by parents, Charles and Gloria, and brothers, Stephen and Mike.

Survived by wife, Darlene; sons, Alex, Chuck, and Troy; step-daughter, Phoebe; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Bruce; several nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Jeff.
