Charles "Charlie" Monroe West

CHARLES "CHARLIE" WEST, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2020.

Charlie was a very friendly man with a great head for business.  He owned several businesses, including taxi companies and bars, most notably C & D Transport.  His employees affectionately called him "Boss Man."  He was loving and caring, and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, John West; mother, Lilian Bunfil; sisters, Diana Kumar West, Linda West, Brenda West, and Cheryl West; and brother, Gerald West.

Charles is survived by sons, Dennis (Mary) West and Charles West Jr.; daughters,Gail (Rick) Brown and Jasmine West; grandchildren, Samantha Kosa, Joshua Stewart, Joseph West, Sabrina West, John West, Rebecca Brown, and Elizabeth Brown; many great-grandchildren; sister, Tina (Bill) Orfanos; and other family members and many friends.                              

Visitation 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Cook & Son-Pallay Funeral Home, 1631 Parsons Ave.  Graveside service and interment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery, 1340 Woodland Ave.

NOTE:  Due to an executive order signed by the mayor, MASKS ARE REQUIRED for attendance.  We also ask that everyone observe social distancing and use hand sanitizer before picking up the pen to sign the guest book.  Thank you.
