Curtis Morehart Obituary

Curtis Jeffrey Morehart, age 36, passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2020 in his home, which was in the same neighborhood in which he grew up. He was born August 19, 1983 in Columbus, Ohio to Steve and Kimberly Morehart.

He played guitar, and rode motorcycles, and was so full of life.  He was always trying to make someone’s life easier. Curtis could light up a room, and he would do whatever he could to make someone smile or laugh.  He loved to read.  He often said, “Duh, read a book!”  He had lots of family and friends who meant the world to him, and they all cherished him deeply.  He was always joking around, and people instantly liked Curtis from the moment they met him. He was a happening guy, not even trying to be cool, he just was.  He was certainly one of a kind, and although he sometimes struggled, he made the best life that he could. He would give you the shirt off his back and do again next week. He was a simply an amazing person with a heart of gold. Curtis will be truly missed by so many people.

He is survived by his two children, whom he loved so much, Kadyn Jeffrey and Keagan Noel; fiancé, Karina Carullo, who loved him more than life itself; father, Stephen Morehart; “main dad,” Kenneth “Krock” Schorr, and his son, Junior; grandmother, Sue Craft; cousins, who were more like brother and sisters, Minus, Falon, and Kimberly Griffith; cousins, Bonnie and Kristin Teague, Amanda and Kelly Craft, Danny and Jay Hunley; aunts, Jamie and Kathy; uncles, Jack and Donnie; nieces and nephews, Gaven, Diego, Eduardo, Kevin, Rylee, Mia, Taya, Emma, Jaxon, Alexzander, and Oscar; “little bro” Kota, and his buddy Keilani; other family members, and so many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kimberly Diane, in 2005; his sister Martha in 2016; grandparents, Gene and Annabel Morehart, and Curtis Craft; uncles, Eugene Griffith and Jeff Craft; cousins, Johnny and John Wesley Hunley; and lots of childhood friends.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Cook & Son-Pallay Funeral Home, 1631 Parsons Ave., where service will follow at 7:00 P.M.
