Edyth K. Hallam

We are sad to announce that Edyth “Edie” Hallam, age 81, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 25, 2023.

She was born September 10, 1941 in Columbus, OH.  Edie graduated from Mt Carmel School of Nursing in 1963 and spent most of her nursing career taking care of moms and babies. She loved her dogs and her birdfeeders, gardening, nature, the beach, and shark tooth hunting. She was a wonderful cook of family recipes that will live on for generations.  She was vibrant, fun, had a wonderful laugh and will be terribly missed by all.  

She was preceded in death by her husband David, her mother and father Barbara and John Kay and brother John Kay.

She is survived by daughters, Teresa (Chris) Burke, Kristen Crotty, Karin (Jay) Parsons, and Jennifer (Christopher) Bidka; grandchildren, Alex and Katy Foltz, Kayla Moore, Andrew and Keri Parsons, Will and Megan Crotty; great-granddaughter, Everly; sisters Cyndy Hoskey and Jane Kay; brother Kody; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She shared her final years with her dear friend Will Merrill.  

To honor Edie's life, we are holding a Celebration of Life Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Heritage Condominium, 123 Lafayette Drive, Westerville. OH 43081. Please come and share your stories.
