Flota Ann (Epling) Roach

Flota Ann "Babe" Roach, age 80 passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Grant Medical Center from a long battle with cancer. Born in Ingram Branch, West Virgina, she was the 5th child of Dexter Ray Epling and Mabel (Wooten) Epling.

Preceded in death by her husband George Roach, Martina O’Connell (son Jack’s life partner), oldest sister Lona Sharrier and oldest brother Dudley Ray Epling.

Survived by son, Jack Roach; sister Mary Mullins; brother Dexter Epling; and her dog Daisy .

She loved to travel, play bingo on Sundays, was an excellent cook, and fairly lucky at the casinos. Flo was a founding member of “The Lunch Bunch” (a group of former Fields Publications employees) who gather once a month for lunch and often donated to charities. She was a fearless, loving wife, mother, and friend.  

A Celebration of Life service will be announced later this spring.
