George A. Skinner Jr., 63, of Grove City passed away April 23, 2021 at OSU Wexner Center. He was born on January 1, 1958 in Columbus.
George attended Marion Franklin High School and later served in the U.S. Army in the 166th Infantry Regiment Battalion.
George was a loving husband, father & grandfather. He was adored by his daughters and son in laws and many grandchildren. George enjoyed making inappropriate jokes, listening to music, and he was also a huge Nascar fan. He collected tall ships and sailing memorabilia and was a tool man. Not to be mistaken for Tim “the Tool Man” Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George A. Skinner Sr. and Marion M. Skinner, sister Robin, and brother Bill.
George is survived by his loving wife, who he met over a five dollar bet; Loretta (Williams) Skinner; five stubborn tomboys who are just like their dad: Crystal (Jimmy) Moore, Georgianna (Jason) Baehr, Shannon Filyo, Billie (Rich) Bininger, Karen Skinner; grandchildren: Kristin, Larissa, John, Austin, Allison, Cece, Abby, Mia, Jake, Chloe, Caitlyn, Calista, Rory; and great-grandchildren: Emma, Thea & Everleigh. He is also survived by his, sister Susan (Chuck) Callahan and brothers: John (Simona) Skinner, Tony (Kat) Skinner, Steven (Jodi) Skinner; mother in law Sue Williams, uncles, aunt, nephews, nieces & cousins.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
