Geraldine "JD" Haynes

Geraldine "JD" Haynes, age 74, passed away December 21, 2020 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Retired from Andy Callif Bail Bonds and Lois Mann's Restaurant, JD was a strong, hard-working woman who was devoted to her family, and would always stand up for them.  She enjoyed going to thrift stores and the Sand Pebble Lounge.  She loved bluegrass music and Elvis.

Preceded in death by grandson, Joseph Edward Haynes and granddaughter, Ariel Dawn Haynes; daughter, Brenda Jean Haynes and sons, Joseph Lee and James Edward Haynes; sister, Laura Bowens and brothers, David, Ben, and James Damron, and parents, Zella Belcher and Ben Damron.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Mary Ann Haynes and Karen Sue Haynes; great-niece, who was like a daughter to her, Rianne Dotson; nephew, who was like a son to her, Allen Dotson; grandchildren, David and Jordan; sisters, Zella Jean Smith, Ella R. Damron, Brenda Isaacs, and Bernie Jane Manfre-Brankin; brother, Michael Belcher; and many, many former co-workers and friends.

Visitation 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Cook & Son-Pallay Funeral Home, 1631 Parsons Ave., where Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 P.M.  Interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
