JB Denson

J.B. Denson age 78, sunrise November 19, 1941, sunset Thursday, March 26, 2020.

Attended Memphis Public School system.  Was employed by the Bricklayer Local Union #55, was a member of the International Brick Mason for 50 years, and J.B. Denson’s own company, J&J Brick Layer LLC.  He was a longtime active member of Mt. Carmel Worship Center, serving as the Property Manager, was on the Board of Director Trustee Committee, also The Head Deacon, J.B. was the Watchman on the Wall, and he served diligently and with a spirit of excellence. 

He was a true family man and had a passion for helping others. He believed strongly in the importance of faith, family, and friends.

Preceded in death by parents T.J. Denson and Lizzie Whiten, and 3 siblings.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Tammy Denson; children, Sonny (LaTonya) Walker, Ruby (Tim) Toran, Jae B. Denson, James Michael Denson, Tiami Harris, and Robert Harris; 6 siblings; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 4 at Mount Carmel Worship Center, 2182 Courtright Rd., where service will follow at 11:00 A.M.  Pastor Sonny Walker officiating.  Burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
