Jeanne C. Schaefer

Jeanne C. Schaefer, age 91, passed away at her home in Newark, OH on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

Jeanne was born and raised in Columbus, she was a graduate of the old St. Mary's High School.  She married Bob Schaefer and raised five sons on the east side. For many years she worked as a bookkeeper at St. Charles Preparatory School.  She loved her Buckeyes, and her cats. Most of all, she was a beloved and loving mother and friend.

Preceded in death by husband Robert Schaefer in 1978, mother Irene, and sons Mike, Mark, and Scott.

Survived by sons, Jim (Angel) and Don; sister, Nola Cahill; sister-in-law, Marilyn Thurn; Nancy Schaefer (daughter-in-law); devoted friends, Janine Maney. Lou Pallay, and Jeff Nieberding; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel in St. Joseph Cemetery.  Father William Arnold, Celebrant.  Burial to follow next to Bob at St. Joseph Cemetery.
