Jermaine Eugene Hunter, Jr. age 19, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 28, 2021.
He was born February 4, 2002 to Danielle Dickerson and Jermaine Hunter, Sr.
Jermaine attended True Vine Church where he learned about the love of Jesus. He was baptized as a young child, He aspired to get his GED. He loved being a father to his one year old daughter, Kay'Mani Ora'lee Hunter and two-month old son, Savyiare Eugene Hunter. Jermaine, aka "Tank," "Teenager," and "Band Man Jay" was so full of energy and life. His memory is our keepsake. In life we loved you deeply, in death we do the same.
Jermaine was preceded in death by his grandmother, Wanda Dickerson, grandfather, Marvin Hunter, great-grandparents, Charles and Hattie Dickerson, and big sister, Shamaya Dickerson (who was also baptized at a young age), and cousins, Trey Hunter and Terrance Dickerson.
Jermaine is survived by his loving mother, Danielle Dickerson, and father, Jermaine Hunter, Sr.; daughter, Kay'Mani Hunter; son, Savyiare Hunter; brothers, Lancione "Big Bro" (Totnesha) Davenport, De'von Kyles, Antijuan, Tyrese, and William Dickerson; sister, Lanayah Dickerson; nephews, Lancione III and Jaxton Davenport; niece, Tazyiah Davenport; grandmother, Karen Carrecker; great-grandparents, Edward and Ernestine Chatman; great-aunts, Charlotte (John) Williams, Rosie Dickerson, and Barbara Chatman; mother of his daughter, Kaylan McCord, and mother of his son, Amethyst Forston; special cousins, Willie, Tyshawn, Quatavia, Trequez, Mekhai, Khaisaan, MaKayla, Passion, Corey, and Edward; and special friends, Tae and GoBrazy.
Visitation 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Cook & Son-Pallay Funeral Home, 1631 Parsons Ave., where a Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 noon.
