John Elliott Curtis, Sr., age 87, was called home on September 16, 2021 at his home.
Retired from Westinghouse Electric Company, and owned his own cab company, “J.C. Taxi.”
Member of Williams Rd. Freewill Baptist Church. He loved his faith in God. He enjoyed watching baseball, football, and boxing, and he loved singing to his family. He was a great provider and was always ready to talk. He was inspirational.
Preceded in death by parents Elliott and Cora Curtis, and brothers Darby and Ova Curtis.
Survived by loving wife Betty L. Curtis; daughters, Joan Curtis, Susie Horn, and Janice Wigal; sons, Jeff, John, Joey, and Isaiah Curtis, Alonzo Horn III, and Terry Ward; grandchildren, Tiffany and Kelly Stafford, Shawna Fitch, Alisha Yance, Trevor, Spencer, and Nick Ward, and Whitney Houck; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Wilson, Paul Wigal IV, Haleigh and Christopher Horn, Unique, Daniel, Madalyn, Kelly, Kingslee, and many more; sister, Marie Field; brother, Raymond (Anna Lee) Curtis; and nieces, Linda and Deanna.
Visitation 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Cook & Son-Pallay Funeral Home, 1631 Parsons Ave. Burial Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Louisa, KY to include graveside service at 1:00 P.M.
