Joyce A. Bowles, age 81, passed away August 13, 2020 at Grant Medical Center.

Joyce Ann Bowles, age 81, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 13, 2020.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Delve and Mable Williams; husband, William D. Bowles; gentleman friend, Thomas Chubbs;.brothers, George Williams, Clifford Williams, and Jobie Williams; sisters, Bettie “Bee” McAllister and Dellave Bowles; granddaughters, Ureina Cantra Bayless and Valencia Tyshawna Bowles; grandson, Terrance Bowles Dickerson; great-grandson, Jayvon Jones; and great-granddaughter, Tovalayiona Bowles.

She is survived by six children, Velencia “Venlizca” Kay (Terrell) Bowles, Michael Ray (Beverly) Bowles, William “Bill” (Mary) Bowles, Charles “Chuckie” Bowles, Janet “Candy” (Butch) Bowles, and Coretha “Cookie” Bowles; twenty-three grandchildren, Terrell “TJ” II, Eugene “Bubba”, Terlinzica “Sissy”, Michael Jr., Christopher, Micheal “Namesake”, Chante, Kevin, William “Whoop”, Tyshawn “Pistol”, Clarence “CC”, Clarence “C3”, Sequoia, Shada, Bill, Jayvin, LaDonna, Teaira, Trina, Tova, Frank, Justin, and Erica; forty-six great-grandchildren; brothers, Orbit Williams and Mitchell Williams; sisters, Patricia Williams and Carolyn Coles; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon Friday, August 21, 2020 at Cook & Son-Pallay Funeral Home, 1631 Parsons Ave., where a Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 noon. Pastor Calvin Moffitt officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

A repast will follow. If weather permits, it will be held at Fairwood Park, 1372 Fairwood Ave., Columbus, 43206. (Alternate location is 1221 S. 22nd St., Columbus, 43206)
