Karen Yager-Beach, age 67 passed away April 23, 2021 at Kobacker House.
After growing up in North Olmsted Ohio, Karen attended Ohio State University, earning a degree in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedigogy. From there she worked for the USTA, performed with Opera Columbus and Sicilian Singers, and was a finalist for Wolf Trap Opera. On the anniversary of 9/11, Karen performed on NPR, a performance that spanned the globe. She had a captivating voice that touched many, and a beautiful soul that cared deeply for her cherished husband, daughter, family, and friends. She will be greatly missed by those having known her.
Preceded in death by daughter Megan Pietz, and parents, Kathryn (Zarnesky) and James Yager.
Survived by husband, David Beach; sisters, Jill (Tim) Kolakowski and Sally (Paul) Tomko; brother, James “Chris” Yager; grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, Maci, and Mya, and great-grandchild, Jaylin.
