Obituary
Patricia Gayle "Pat" (Hanners) Simkins, age 75, was called home June 11, 2022 at Doctors Hospital.
She was born in Portsmouth Ohio at Portsmouth General Hospital on February 24, 1947. She retired from Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities. She enjoyed fishing, watching Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes football, being around family, and helping others no matter what the situation may have been.
She is preceded in death by parents Wilbur & Virginia Hanners, brothers Danny Lee Hanners Sr. and Scott Raymond Hanners, sister Connie Lynn Hanners, cousins Lanny and Mike Harding, and two grandchildren.
Pat is survived by husband, George Daniel "Danny" Simpkins; daughters, Angela (Thomas) Legue, April (Randy) Dawson, Amy (Mike) Stainer, and Stephanie Miku; son, Christopher (Kristy) Freeman; grandchildren, Tricia, Nichole, Andy, Emilee, Randy Ray, Cody, CJ (Christopher), and Britni; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Michael Dale Hanners; nephews, Danny Lee Hanners and Joe D. Lambert; and many other family members and friends.
