Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Preceded in death by son, Robert James, and parents, Louis James and Louvinia (Dudgeon) James.

Survived by daughters, Terri Cumberledge, Lesa James, Liza Bethel, and Melissa Vines; son, Richard James, Jr.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and dear love, Patricia Turstall.
