Shamaya Nayelle Dickerson, age 21, passed away January 10, 2021.

Shamaya was born April 6, 1999 to Danielle Dickerson and Shawndale Harris.  Shamaya, affectionately called “MooMoo,” attended West High School where she was on Drill Team.  She graduated in the class of 2017, and aspired to go to college to become a nurse.

Shamaya loved spending time sith her family and friends.  Shamaya has a sweet, kind spirit, and a bright, beautiful smile that could brighten up any room.  Shamaya’s personality was bigger than life.  She was always the life of the party. 

Shamaya departed this earthly life on January 10, 2021.  She was truly a bright shooting star.  Her memory is out keepsake, which will never part.  God has you in His keeping, and we have you in our hearts.

Shamaya was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wanda Dickerson and Larry Edwards, and great-grandparents, Charles and Hattie Dickerson.

Samaya is survived by her loving mother, Danielle Dickerson, and father, Shawndale Harris; brothers, Lancione “Big Bro” (Totnesha) Davenport, De’von Kyles, Antijuan Dickerson, Jermaine Hunter, Tyrese Dickerson, Shawndale Harris, Jr., and William Dickerson; sisters, Lanayah Dickerson (whom she affectionately called “Noonie Momma”), Desiree, Lexus, and Laviya; nephews, Lancione III, Jaxton Davenport, and Savyier Hunter; nieces, Tazyiah Davenport and Kay’Mani Hunter; grandmother, Monica Holliday; grandfather, Columbus Smith; aunts, Colleen and Milleen Holiday, and Melanie Dewberry; uncles, Larry and Antijuan Dickerson and Booker Holliday; great-aunts Charlotte (John) Williams and Rosie Dickerson; godmom, Shawnta Hale; godbaby, My’Amber; special friend and love of her life, Fredo “Rockstart”; special cousins, Treques, Mekhai, Khaisaan, Makayla, Qua’Tavia, Passion, Sequoia, and Tyshawn; and special friends, KyKy, JayJay, Raylon, Lacy, Dez, Klutch, Shakia, and Kani.

Visitation 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Cook & Son-Pallay Funeral Home, 1631 Parsons Ave., where Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 P.M.
