Teresa Nadine (née Fraley) Mohrbacher, age 71, passed away May 31, 2022 just 5 days shy of her 72nd birthday, at her place of residence, surrounded by immediate family and her beloved dogs, Essy and Sassy.
Looking to find unique conquests, Teresa loved to shop at thrift stores and had a keen eye for matching lovely outfits together, whether for herself or a family member. Likewise, she never met a yard sale that she could pass up.
Teresa had a green thumb and loved to work and admire her flower gardens. She loved even more getting her sons to help her in the flower gardens.
She enjoyed relaxing on her newly built huge back-porch with a good cup of coffee or an ice cold Pepsi, chatting for hours with friends and family. Situated in the rural countryside, Teresa could laughingly match the call of the mockingbirds on the fence line, often getting long, involved return calls, but with no idea what was being said between them.
Teresa loved to sew, and was talented at making quilts, home decorations, and homemade clothing.
When younger and with her siblings, Teresa would join them as they gathered around the piano to sing gospel music. Many family members can probably still remember the sound of them singing, accompanied by banjos or guitars.
Teresa had a soft, kind heart for adopting abandoned dogs. She saved at least three abandoned on her farm, who soon became her constant companions.
Back in the day, Teresa loved babysitting her many nieces and nephews. She provided a safe, loving, and creative environment that many of her family members still remember fondly. Her grandchildren remember long car rides, singing On Top of Spaghetti together, and sharing many Banana Splits with her on hot summer days.
Most of all, Teresa was kind, sweet, and warm-hearted, quiet at times but with an unabashed sense of countryside humor, some of it involving cute little whimsical frogs or flamingo eggs. Teresa was certainly a unique and special lady, full of grace and of courage.
Proceeded in death by dearest mother Helen (Phipps) Lyons, father Everett Fraley, sisters Lovena Everman, Rosetta Ames, and Joanna Ingold. brother Norman Fraley, Sr., and brother-in-law Artist Everman.
Survived by spouse of 29 years, George E. Mohrbacher; devoted sons, William (Patricia) Rose and Terry (Michel May) Rose; grandchildren, Liam Rose and Lauren Rose; sisters, Janet (Jay) Nolan and Bonita Temple; brothers-in-law, George Ames and William Bradley Ingold; many loving nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews; best friends and partners in crime, Janet Bush and Joan Tinker; and dear niece, Phyllis Dunn.
