Thomas Lloyd Lawson, age 79, passed away in the early morning of Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Mount Carmel West.
Tom served in the United States Armed Forces as specialist 3rd class Army division from 1955 to 1957. He worked as a master carpenter throughout his life, and when he was not working, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Flem Lawson; mother, Eva Baird Lawson; wife, Ernestine "Tina" Lawson; daughter, Sandy Gooslin; son, Thomas "Tommy" Lawson; grandson, Jason Gooslin; brothers, Al Lawson, Jim Lawson, Roy Lawson, and Virgil Lawson; and sisters, Izora and Marianne.
He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Robin (Mike) Johnston, Tamara Seymour, Lori Lawson and Mary (Kelly Hale) Evans; sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie (Theresa) Lawson and Jimmy Evans; grandchildren, Tabby, Michael, Jamie, Michael, James, Joseph, Krysti, Evelyn, Candace, Dalton, Daniel, Mikey and Wesley; great-grandchildren, Landon, Logan, Luke, Leven, Keirsten, Michael, Jackson, Kegen, Karleigh, Tommy, Krystlynn, Braden, Briley, Brenlyn, Bryson, Erika, Valeria, Romeo, Maneul, Rafael, Jalynn and Brennen; niece, Darlene Pigott; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, July 17, 2020 at Cook & Son-Pallay Funeral Home, 1631 Parsons Avenue, concluding with Military Honors.
